Basic Life Support

Basic Life Support includes interfacility transportation from hospital to hospital or from Skilled Nursing facility to a doctors appointment for those that are unable to walk

“BLS” indicates the ambulance is staffed with two certified Emergency Medical Technicians. These providers are able to provide basic life support to injured or ill persons that may include administration of medications such as epi-pens, and aspirin, perform CPR with an AED, monitor vital signs and secure persons suspected with spinal injuries on a long back board for transport to an appropriate facility.
